I don’t know if I can find the words to express my gratitude, and that of my family’s, in your helping us to arrange Emily’s Bat Mitzvah in Israel, which was indeed the Israel trip of a lifetime. From the very first email, your company has been nothing but professional, hard-working and helpful in guiding through the entire process. Although we heard nothing but rave reviews from our friends the Cohen’s who recommended Routes, experiencing is truly believing. There was nothing that I could point to and say, “this wasn’t discussed”, or “why was there a problem with…”. Routes delivered on everything promised and more!
From the Israel tour you arranged, to your continued concern and vigilance in terms of how our trip in Israel was progressing, you made us see your company for what it really is….a “family” that cares! This was evident in that fact that you took time out of your day to meet us at breakfast, as well as the wonderful gifts that awaited us in Jerusalem.
Your suggestion for the Rabbi as someone who could lead our Bat Mitzvah service was excellent. We “connected” with him almost immediately on Masada, and given that it was 44 degrees C at the time of the service the location you picked for our simcha was outstanding.
Our driver went out of his way to find places for our elderly parents to both board and disembark from the bus so as to minimize hills and walking distances.
As for our incredible tour guide, as we’ve discussed, some things are “b’shert”. It took a day or two for us to find a rhythm with him and vice versa. However, once that happened, our experience blossomed into a journey of religion, philosophy, and geopolitics, the likes of which I never would have thought I would experience on a tour. His knowledge beyond just “places and dates” was awe-inspiring. He truly is a fountain of knowledge who will continue to remain curious and seek new truths as the years go on. I hope that we will again be able to experience his wit and charm in future trips to Israel.
As I said in my subject heading, this trip was truly once in a lifetime. This was the first of hopefully many trips to Eretz Yisrael for my children, and probably the last trip that our parents will make to the Holy Land. I would like to think that my wife and I have a few more trips to make to Israel in the years to come and I know that we will be making Routes Travel our company of choice.

How can we ever possibly thank you enough for the wonderful Bar Mitzvah trip in Israel that you planned for us?
We are sincerely grateful for the experience that you neatly packaged for us, not easy given the age span, but somehow you really pulled it off. Adventure, history, education, delicious food served in extraordinary locales....we had it all!!
Also appreciated was your attention to our needs once we got to Israel. Thanks for dealing with all of the last minute airport transfers, copying the Bar Mitzvah service, roundtrip transportation for the Torah and attending the BM to make sure that everything was just right for us.Most of all, thank you for our guide. As you are already aware he is an unusually gifted person. He enhanced and illuminated Israel for us and served the information up to us in the most incredible manner. His own stories and his gift for recounting them were a pleasure to listen to. It is as if we came to Israel as a "blank coloring book", full of outlines and shapes. Your guide helped us fill our own coloring books with costumes, wild colors and three dimensional images and words in many languages and accents.
He was very sensitive to the group's needs, both spiritual and physical.
He handled Yad Vashem masterfully knowing that some of our guests were particularly sensitive, ramped up the adventure aspect for the kids and willing adults and always had a thoughtful answer to the barrage of questions being hurled at him. His information font was both deep and wide, absolutely extraordinary !!
Anyway, we hope to keep in touch with you and we will certainly be in regular contact with our guide.
